Our
Services
We
believe that we can make the most impact on the lives of our residents
by building on the work of other programs.
Through the generosity of a large volunteer corps, collaborations with
local service providers and the generosity of free or low cost training
by professionals in various life-service fields, we are able to provide
our residents with necessary 'extras'.
Through such extra support services, the women are better prepared to
problem solve life's challenges in a more effective manner.
Therefore, the House provides Case Management
services, offering access to mental health counseling, housing advocacy,
and other resources.
A Parenting Group meets monthly, in which
outside professionals offer training on anger management, discipline styles,
understanding developmental ages, etc.
Our Homework, Reading
and Writing Clubs address the academic and
emotional/social needs of the children and the adults.
About
Our Services
Elizabeth
House offers affordable transitional housing, ample nutritious food and
supportive services to single women and women with children in the San
Francisco Bay Area.
Our services assist families as they address the issues contributing to
or resulting from their homelessness.
In an effort to decrease the number of women and children living without
the fundamental needs of a high quality of life (housing, food and education),
we support residents as they make lasting changes in their lives and in
the lives of their families.
