Anniversary Campaign
Since 1991 Oakland Elizabeth House continues to provide Hope, safety, and support to the families who come to us for help.
Campaign funds will go to the following:
Mental Health Services: $75,000 will allow us to offer a year of weekly therapy for all our moms.
Increasing a Staff Position to Full Time: $30,000 annually will allow us to increase a current staff position from part-time to full-time, supporting the administrative duties and tasks of the ED and Board President.
General Programing: $16,000 will allow us to provide the opportunity for our children to attend summer camps. The increase is up by $10,000 in the past year.
General Operations: $29,000 - Rising costs of living and maintenance is something every homeowner or renter faces. The same with OEH. There are many things that we can improve and make better if we just had a bit more. Anything is appreciated.
The number of homeless people in Alameda County increased by more than 39% in the past two years, reaching an estimated 5,629, with 49% of those in Oakland. Oakland’s homeless include 98 families with 262 members. Alameda County is one of the top ten least affordable housing markets in the United States. Because the homeless population is so high, shelters and transitional housing programs cannot meet the demand.
Thank you for your very generous support. 30 Years of Hope and love at Oakland Elizabeth House has been what has gotten many families through very difficult times. Together we continue to provide a place Where Hope Lives.
The difference you make today is the gift that flourishes tomorrow!
